Materials Analyst
:
We are an established supplier of automotive and industrial assemblies seeking to add a Materials Analyst. The ideal candidate is an accomplished Materials Analyst with manufacturing background and experience in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities will include:
- Receives and enters customer requirements/releases.
- Orders materials from suppliers as needed to meet customer requirements/releases.
- Relays information to manufacturing, sales & shipping.
- Responsible for timely releases to suppliers and follow up.
- Responsible for maintenance of inventory of assigned jobs, watch total value of inventory and number of turns.
- Schedules jobs to meet customer requirements/releases.
- Attends daily production meetings.
- Assists with implementing the MMOG Standard.
- Verifies shipping documentation accuracy to protect supplier ratings.
- Communicates any problems that may affect deliveries.
- Responsible for maintaining contact information internally and on the customer's system.
- Performs physical inventories.
- Responsible for identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of material processes.
- Uses company equipment/resources properly & safely and adheres to safety regulations.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
- Works with MP&L Manager to create production schedule weekly, firm and planning requirements. *
Job Requirements
- Strong computer skills, ideally with experience using Windows-based PC programs
- Ability to coordinate multiple group efforts within the company to achieve objectives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, with awareness of deadlines
- Ability to identify processes needing improvement, and to recommend improvements
- Plex ERP, EDI, DDL, GM and Ford systems knowledge preferred.**
Education/Skills Requirements:
- High School graduate with strong mathematic aptitude.*
- Two or more years of college preferred. *
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Work Location: In person
