Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A dedicated Special Education Teacher is needed to support K-12 students in a South Lyon, MI school setting for the uping school year contract. This role focuses on delivering individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, creating an inclusive classroom environment, and collaborating with educators and families to foster academic and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students unique learning goals
• Modify and adapt curriculum to meet the needs of students with disabilities
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to engage and support students
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure cohesive support
• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities
• Maintain pliance with state and federal special education regulations

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Michigan teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with K-12 students with diverse disabilities
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and special education laws
• Effective munication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual student needs
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students with special needs
