EDM Machinist

We are seeking a skilled EDM Machinist to join our team. You will be responsible for interpreting blueprints or job orders to obtain product specifications, positioning and securing workpieces, and working with stainless and high-temperature alloys. You will set specified feeds, speeds, and depth of cut in accordance with product specifications and tooling instructions.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints or job orders to obtain product specifications including dimensions and tolerances.
• Position and secure workpieces to holding devices, machine tables, chucks, centers, or fixtures.
• Work with stainless and high-temperature alloys.
• Set specified feeds, speeds, and depth of cut as per product specifications and tooling instructions.
• Observe operations and verify conformance of machined workpieces to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, bore gauges, pins, and micrometers.
• Adhere to safety rules, manufacturing quality procedures, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• High School Diploma
• 1 year of EDM operating experience
• Blueprint reading
• Familiarity with Mastercam

• Experience with Word or Excel
• TS knowledge
• Prior knowledge of splays, burns, shorts, last point to fill, gates
• Experience with Van presses

Work Environment

The work environment consists of two mold build shops and one production shop on campus. It is a warehouse and manufacturing setting where eye and ear protection are provided if needed. Employees must wear closed-toe shoes at all times. The second shift has a smaller team size, with about 12 people.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
