Salary Range: $69,000 - $108,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize packaging solutions for new and existing products.
• Select, test, and qualify packaging materials, components, and suppliers.
• Conduct packaging performance testing, validation, and root cause analysis.
• Identify and implement cost reduction and efficiency improvements for packaging.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., R&D, manufacturing, supply chain) on packaging projects.
• Ensure packaging compliance with industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
• Support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting packaging issues and optimizing line performance.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in packaging development and engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and knowledge of various packaging materials and machinery.
• Demonstrated ability to manage packaging projects from concept to launch, including testing and validation.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards (e.g., GMP, ISO), and supply chain considerations.

Bonus Qualifications

• Knowledge of sustainable packaging materials and practices (e.g., recyclability, compostability, reduced virgin material use).
• Experience with specialized packaging design software (e.g., ArtiosCAD, CAPE, TOPS).
• Familiarity with automated packaging machinery and line integration.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
