An opportunity is available for a full-time, night shift Registered Nurse to join a dedicated team in the Med Surg department at a facility in Marlette, MI. The role is a direct hire position and is seeking a candidate with a great attitude who is committed to providing high-quality patient care. Compensation is $35-41/hr with full benefits, and a competitive bonus after 6 months and 1 year on the job. The primary purpose of this position is to provide professional nursing care within an assigned unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Oversees the successful delivery of quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Provide professional nursing care to assigned patients. This involves monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing pain. They assess the patient's condition, develop a care plan, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality patient care.
• Collaboration: Coordinate care planning with other healthcare disciplines. This includes communicating with doctors, physical therapists, and other specialists to ensure a cohesive approach to the patient's treatment.
• Documentation: Accurate and timely documentation of patient care is crucial. This includes charting patient assessments, medication administration, and any changes in the patient's condition.
• Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment plans, and self-care after discharge.
• Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care. This may include initiating emergency protocols like BLS/ACLS/PALS.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Registered Nurse with current licensure in the State of Michigan.
• BLS/ACLS/ PALS required or obtained within 6 months of hire
• DIMS or CAMMP obtained within one year of hire
