(HATCI) is currently looking for an Voice Recognition Engineer at its Superior Township, MI location :

Looking for an engineer with experience in Infotainment with emphasis on Voice Recognition (VR) to meet R&R for IDD team.

Experience in design, development, and validation of VR products from an OEM perspective.

Experience in VR architecture and effective root cause analysis to propel team to more self-reliance

Ability to prioritize tasks and self-initiative on completing assignments

Will establish strong collaboration with R&D for future VR products and improvements for HMG vehicles
- This will ensure that team is targeting the vision and strategy outlined by HATCI Executive Management to take more responsibility and ownership from Namyang R&D
- Responsible for development of North American Voice Recognition platform by leading the system validation efforts. This will include reviewing specification, creating validation procedures based on spec review, conducting bench and vehicle field validation, and tracking development progress
- Conduct studies/clinics, evaluate competitive systems, revise/create specifications, and troubleshoot the vehicle sub-system interactions
- Create innovative technologies for research and potential implementation into HMG Voice Recognition vehicle platforms, cost savings, and technical road maps to improve Hyundai/Kia Infotainment solutions
- Support the development and validation of VR from an E2E perspective
- Support port interface audits, quality gate audits, field issues support and meeting with business team
- Knowledge of TTS, ASR, AI, and interactive voice response
- Create technical reports for presentation to management and other stakeholders
- Ability to solve complex design issues and effective root cause analysis
- Knowledge of how to effectively utilize automated tool sets for efficient and effective testing of VR aspects
- Preferred experience in speech processing, phonetics, and computer technology
- Interface with other departments such as Infotainment Software, Electrical Design, Product Strategy, Autonomous
- Up to 20% travel domestic & international
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field required
- Master degree preferred
- 2- years of experience in developing specifications and design verification test plans pertaining to Infotainment platforms including VR
- 1-year experience in Infotainment System hardware and software design and/or its validation
- Experience in design and release of electric related structures and components
- Preferred experience in SW development
- Knowledge of validation of embedded systems
- Understanding of server development
- Experience in executing and validation scalable, reliable, and secure SW solutions
- Knowledge for In-Vehicle communication protocols
- Valid drive license and satisfactory driving record
