Field HSE Coordinator - Solar Construction

Position Overview

Drake Group is seeking Field HSE / EHS Coordinators to support safety operations on a large-scale solar construction project . The coordinator will work closely with project leadership and field crews to promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and site safety programs.

This role is designed for a mid-level safety professional with hands-on field experience supporting industrial or renewable energy construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Support implementation of project-specific Environmental Health & Safety programs
• Conduct routine site safety inspections and audits
• Monitor field operations for OSHA compliance
• Participate in daily safety meetings and toolbox talks
• Investigate incidents and assist with corrective actions
• Maintain site safety documentation and reporting
• Assist project leadership with safety planning and hazard mitigation
• Promote a proactive safety culture across all crews and subcontractors

Qualifications

Education

• Education in Occupational Health & Safety or related field preferred

Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in a safety-related role
• Experience supporting construction or industrial projects
• Solar construction project experience preferred

Certifications

• CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) certification preferred
• Equivalent professional safety certification acceptable
• Ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire

Additional Skills

• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
• Experience performing field safety audits and inspections
• Ability to work directly with crews and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and documentation skills
