Physical Therapist Job Details

• Location: Battle Creek, Michigan (zip code 49037)
• Start Date: October 20, 2025

• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Hours per Week: 40 (Full-Time)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (day off during week on rotation week)
• Coverage Area: Van Buren, Calhoun, and Kalamazoo Counties
• Guaranteed Hours: Yes (Full-Time)

Physical Therapist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Valid Michigan Physical Therapist license
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Home health experience required
• Experience in acute care, outpatient clinic, rehabilitation hospital, and skilled nursing facility settings
• Proficiency with charting systems
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions accepted)
• References required

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive physical therapy services to patients of all ages, including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver care for a wide range of orthopedic and neurologic conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, spinal conditions, total joint replacements, cognitive disorders, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson’s disease, stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and body mechanics
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including interpretation and social services
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting
• Participate in orientation and annual training modules
