Full‑Stack Software Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Full‑Stack Software Engineer for a Contract role with a client in Dearborn, MI . The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Java/Spring Boot, Node.js/TypeScript, React, Google Cloud Platform, and modern AI/LLM‑enhanced development workflows.

Rate Range: $60/hour to $65/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Full‑Stack Software Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand use‑cases, pain points, and translate requirements into scalable full‑stack technical solutions.

• Design, develop, and deliver robust end‑to‑end features using Java/Spring Boot and Node.js/TypeScript for backend services and React for frontend engineering.

• Adapt to dynamic project priorities, shifting between frontend and backend development based on team and product needs.

• Leverage AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to improve development workflows, accelerate code generation, and enhance engineering productivity.

• Integrate backend services with PostgreSQL or other relational databases to support data‑driven logic.

• Architect, deploy, and manage cloud‑native services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) , ensuring performance, scalability, and high availability.

• Champion TDD/BDD practices using tools such as Cucumber and Playwright to deliver reliable and thoroughly tested features.

Desired Qualifications:

• 6+ years of combined professional full‑stack development experience.

• Strong backend experience with Java/Spring Boot and Node.js/TypeScript .

• Frontend development proficiency using React , VueJS, or AngularJS.

• Demonstrated experience using AI/LLMs to improve productivity, code quality, or workflows.

• 2+ years professional experience with TypeScript .

• Hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or equivalent cloud providers.

• Strong TDD/BDD experience with tools such as Cucumber or Playwright.

• Proficiency with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.

• Deep understanding of Agile, Clean Code principles, small batch releases, and continuous integration.

• Experience with GitHub Actions , Tekton, or similar CI/CD tools.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $65.00 per hour
