Position overview:

We are looking for a General Manager to oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process, as well as to develop new sales channels which target the company's markets, & service those client accounts by providing estimates & proposals for their work at a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities:

The General Manager will successfully perform in this position by having knowledge & proficiency in these key areas of expertise and responsibility:

? Extensive experience in the fabrication methods & techniques of cabinets, furniture, millwork, custom built-ins, upholstery, & all forms of wood & metal furniture & accessory manufacturing; to include CNC & other forms of modern machining methods of wood & metal materials.

? Very knowledgeable of the characteristics & suitability of the many wood & metal materials used for fabrication.

? Is very experienced in the take-off and estimating process needed to produce competitive proposals for: wood products and fabrications, millwork, custom cabinets and furniture.

? Promotes the advantages of the Company's products & services to all clients & sales prospects, including the Company's design capabilities & CAD resources.

? Is aggressive in developing new client accounts & increasing sales of existing client accounts while preserving gross margins.

? Successfully interact with the fabrication shop to ensure conformance with specifications & design drawings; track completion of orders to ensure prompt delivery of all client orders.

? Able to exercise good judgment in evaluating client needs and propose cost effective solutions.

? Having the ability to work with little to no direction, exercise good judgment at all times that protects the company's interests.

? Proactive in their planning; sets achievable sales goals and objectives, realistic production schedules, and establishes a realistic process and plan to accomplish them.

? Have excellent multi-tasking capabilities, very well organized.

? Represents the Company and supports the Detroit Woodworking brand to all outside Clients.

? Is dedicated to the Company's marketing, sales, & policy objectives.

? Communicates quickly & timely with Clients and the Company via the latest technology & paperwork requirements.

? Delegates and monitors the following activities.

? create, develop, draft, track, & update all sales and manufacturing reports

? oversee all estimates and proposals

? document, record, & respond to all Client order issues & delivery notices

? installation activity

? change orders, final inspections, and claims of warranty.

Qualifications:

? Proven experience in a leadership role within the woodworking industry or like industries, with a strong track record of driving sales and profitability.

? Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred but not required with adequate experience

? High level knowledge of wood and metal materials, millwork, cabinets, upholstery, and accessory manufacturing.

? Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers and colleagues.

? Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

? Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software; experience with CAD software is a plus.

? Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
