Location: Saint Joseph, MI
Schedule: 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend
Setting: Hospital – Post-Surgical / Acute Care
Night Shift Med/Surg RN – Immediate Opportunity
We are hiring an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg for a fast-paced hospital in Saint Joseph, MI.
This is a great opportunity for nurses with recent bedside experience who are comfortable working with post-surgical and higher-acuity patients .
What You’ll Do
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process
- Monitor and manage post-surgical and acute care patients
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams
- Educate patients and families on care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Requirements
- Active RN license (Michigan)
- Recent hospital / inpatient experience REQUIRED
- Experience with:
- Med/Surg or post-surgical patients
- IV therapy and medication administration
- Acute care patient monitoring
Preferred Experience
- Chest tubes
- Wound vacs
- NG tubes (NGTs)
- Blood transfusions
- Heparin drips
- Telemetry or step-down
Education & Certifications
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required)
- BSN required within specified timeframe
- BLS (required)
- ACLS (preferred)
Unit Details
Primary unit: Post-Surgical Care Unit
- May float to:
- Orthopedics
- Neurology
- Oncology
- Cardiac Progressive Care
- Pediatric/Adult Units
Schedule Details
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 3 shifts per week (36 hours)
- Every other weekend required
