Legal Assistant – Bankruptcy & Litigation Hybrid schedule
Southfield, MI | $45,000 – $70,000 (DOE) | Full-Time

We’re seeking an experienced Legal Assistant with a background in bankruptcy and litigation to join a respected Southfield law firm . This is an excellent opportunity for a Legal Secretary, Paralegal, or Legal Administrative Assistant who enjoys a fast-paced environment and wants to make a real impact.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare and file court documents for state and federal court in bankruptcy and litigation cases

• Draft, proofread, and manage pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and trial preparation materials

• Maintain organized case files (paper and electronic) and track all deadlines

• Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings

• Assist with trial preparation , including exhibits and witness lists

• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or Paralegal in bankruptcy and litigation

• Strong knowledge of court rules , bankruptcy procedures , and litigation processes

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software

• Excellent organizational, proofreading, and time management skills

• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
