If you are passionate about our company mission, we invite you to apply for the position of Customer Development Manager (CDM) for our Pet Supplies Plus account, based in Detroit, Michigan . As a CDM for Hill's Pet Nutrition, you will assume headquarter customer management responsibilities for PSP, which will include up to 25% overnight travel. The primary responsibilities for this role include customizing and implementing Hill’s RE & brand strategies to grow market share and associate brand recommendation within the customer base. Develops and implements customer specific 7P plans to achieve the Hill’s commercial goals of net sales, share, margin, while spending within GTN guidelines. A Customer Development Manager will apply current business trends, Hill’s corporate strategies, customer strategies, Category/shopper insights, and post analysis of driven activities in plan development. A CDM is responsible for building relationships at all levels with the customer via direct communication, business presentations and frequent interaction with the customer key contacts.
What you will do:
Develops, implements and monitors 7P plans versus the goal
Drives 7P plans and responds to customer requests during regularly scheduled meetings with each customer (minimum (1) per month
Updates Colgate Business Planner to reflect baseline sales and promotion plans. Manages customer payments
Establishes and maintains working relationships with both the customer and internal commercial teams – Marketing, Supply Chain, and Store Operations
Develops and maintains processes and plans to analyze each customers' business. Reviews current business trends, shopper insights, and learning’s from post analysis of driven activities into a strategic 7P plan.
Executes shopper programs with Hill’s Shopper Marketing, using Hill’s brand strategies to drive incremental retail sales
Develops and executes customer specific annual strategic plan and initiatives to achieve the commercial goals. Engages customers on category growth expectations.
Drives Hill’s retail environment brand strategy with Hill’s BDM & Retail Marketing team
Drives forward actions in monthly customer planning meetings to review actuals plus plan-to-go with manager, BDM & Finance
Required Qualifications:
BS/BA degree or higher
3+ years of commercial experience in consumer packaged goods or related industry (Including combination of progressive roles of field sales, corporate sales, marketing, finance and/or customer service)
Proficient digital literacy in Excel, Word, Power Point
Remote Opportunity, but the Candidate must live within the Territory
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience managing key accounts/headquarter accounts
1+ year experience in ecommerce customer management and/or digital marketing
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $110,000.00 - $145,000.00 USD
