Engineering Assistant - I
Engineering Assistant
We are seeking an outgoing, detail-oriented individual to support Engineering Services in our Iron Mountain office. This is a full-time position.
Duties:
Participating in bid assessment process
Prepare documents/instructions for customer
Schedule deliveries
Update production schedules
Enter components into bill of materials
Interface with Purchasing and Billing departments
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
1-2 years of experience in technical or building trades preferred
Proficient in all MS Office
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (welding, metal cutting/forming, assembly)
Ability to read schematic diagrams
Familiarity with computer-aided design is a plus
Knowledge of, or ability to learn, contract management software Soule is a plus
Successful Candidates Will Also Possess the Following:
Superior communication and organizational skills
Friendly and professional demeanor
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize workload
Dependable transportation and a commitment to work hours as scheduled
This position has the potential to grow into the role of Estimator in the future. We are willing to train the right highly motivated candidate.
