Salary Range: $58,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Newaygo that are seeking skilled HR Generalists. Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for production, maintenance, and administrative roles, including sourcing, interviewing, and offer management.
• Provide guidance and support to employees and management on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws, including OSHA regulations, and maintain accurate HR records.
• Administer performance management processes, provide coaching to supervisors, and facilitate employee development initiatives.
• Oversee new hire onboarding, conduct orientation sessions, and coordinate mandatory safety training programs.
• Support HR initiatives related to workplace safety, workers' compensation claims, and return-to-work programs.
• Process payroll inputs, maintain HRIS data accuracy, and assist with benefits administration inquiries.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state labor laws and regulations, including OSHA, FMLA, and FLSA.
• Proven ability to manage recruitment, onboarding, and retention for a diverse workforce, including production and skilled trades.
• Proficiency in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management in a plant setting.
• Experience with HRIS systems and payroll processing.
• Understanding of workplace safety protocols and fostering a safety-conscious culture.

Bonus Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish).
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workers' compensation processes.
• Experience supporting a multi-shift workforce.
