Facilities Manager | Kentwood, MI
Salary Range: $86,000 - $131,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Kentwood seeking Facilities Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all building systems maintenance and repairs, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components.
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for manufacturing equipment and infrastructure to ensure operational uptime.
- Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (EHS) regulations and internal policies.
- Manage the facilities budget, including forecasting, cost control, and procurement of services and supplies.
- Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service providers for facility projects and routine services.
- Plan and execute facility improvement projects, expansions, and renovations to support manufacturing needs.
- Implement energy efficiency initiatives and manage utility consumption across the plant.
- Develop and maintain emergency preparedness and business continuity plans for the facility.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in facilities management within a manufacturing environment
- Proven expertise in managing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other critical building systems
- Strong project management skills for facility upgrades, renovations, and equipment installations
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA), environmental compliance, and building codes
- Experience with CMMS, budget management, and vendor contract negotiation
Bonus Qualifications
- Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) or Facilities Management Professional (FMP) certification
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) implementation or optimization
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or demonstrated application of Lean principles in facilities management
- OSHA 30-hour certification or advanced safety/environmental compliance training relevant to manufacturing
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or extensive experience managing capital improvement projects
