Industrial Sewing Supervisor

Role Overview

This position involves operating industrial sewing equipment within a manufacturing environment to assemble components to required standards as well as supervising a team. The role focuses on maintaining high levels of accuracy, efficiency, and product quality while meeting daily production goals. Attention to detail and consistency are essential to ensure finished items meet specification and delivery timelines.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Use industrial sewing machines to assemble and stitch components in line with technical guidelines
• Supervising a small team of Sewing operatives
• Complete assigned work in accordance with production deadlines and workflow requirements
• Carry out regular checks to ensure finished products meet required quality standards
• Identify and report any faults, defects, or inconsistencies during production
• Resolve minor equipment or stitching issues and escalate more complex problems when needed
• Follow all health and safety procedures within the workplace
• Maintain productivity levels in line with operational targets
• Keep work areas tidy, organised, and stocked with necessary materials
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support smooth and efficient operations

Experience and Requirements

• Previous experience operating industrial sewing machinery
• Background in manufacturing or textile production is beneficial
• High level of accuracy and commitment to producing quality work
• Ability to recognise and address basic technical or production issues
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
