Schedule:

• 24-hour call, 6:00 AM 6:00 AM

• Hospital-based call coverage, including weekends, as scheduled

• Physician must remain physically present in the hospital during call coverage

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Perform interventional cardiac procedures, including urgent/emergent catheterizations and PCI-related interventions

• Manage general cardiology patients from ED consults, inpatient consults, or follow-up rounding needs

• Rounding on hospitalized cardiology patients daily during call period

• Supervise and support an inpatient APP who assists with patient management and follow-ups

• Respond to in-hospital codes and cardiac emergencies alongside hospitalist and anesthesia teams

• Collaborate with consultants and hospital teams, including anesthesiology and hospitalists, particularly during codes and airway management

• Communicate with referring facilities for occasional transfers

Facility & Resources:

• Fully equipped Cath Lab with full diagnostic and interventional capabilities

• Radiology, CT, X-ray, and lab services available 24/7

• Hospitalist teams available for admissions and co-management

• EMR: Cerner

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology Required

• Active Michigan license in good standing Required

• Must reside in Michigan or near Michigan Required

• Clean background for quick credentialing Required (no exceptions)

• Availability based on listed dates Required

• DEA (verbal confirmation required at name clear) Required
