Description:
AUO Mobility Solutions Corporation America is seeking a technically strong and execution-focused Product Manager to drive next-generation automotive electronic systems, with a primary focus on Smart Cockpit Solutions (SCS).
This role owns a product area within our cockpit portfolio, working closely with OEM customers and internal global teams to define, develop, and deliver integrated vehicle solutions. You will play a key role in shaping products aligned with the shift toward software-defined vehicles (SDV), domain-based architectures, and connected user experiences.
This position is well-suited for candidates with a background in automotive systems, electronics, or software platforms who are ready to take on broader product ownership and customer-facing responsibility.
Product Ownership & Strategy• Own and drive the roadmap for an assigned automotive product area (cockpit-related solutions a plus)
• Define product direction aligned with overall SCS portfolio strategy
• Develop and maintain product requirements and system-level specifications
• Support product lifecycle activities from concept and RFQ through development and launch
2. OEM & Stakeholder Engagement• Engage with OEM stakeholders across engineering, product planning, design, and architecture teams
• Understand platform requirements, constraints, and key decision drivers
• Translate diverse, sometimes ambiguous inputs into structured product definitions and proposals
3. System-Level Integration• Collaborate with engineering teams to define system architecture and key technical trade-offs
• Support integration across vehicle subsystems (cockpit, infotainment, domain controllers, or related systems)
• Balance performance, cost, feasibility, and timing considerations
4. Execution & Cross-Functional Alignment• Coordinate with global R&D, sales, and program management teams
• Support RFQ/RFI discussions and customer communications
• Align customer expectations with internal development capabilities
• Ensure product direction supports program milestones and timing
5. Technology & Market Insight• Monitor trends in software-defined vehicles (SDV), vehicle electronics, UX integration, and system architecture
• Benchmark competitive solutions and identify product differentiation opportunities
Requirements: Required Qualifications• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 5–8 years of experience in automotive or related industries (e.g., embedded systems, electronics, software platforms)
• Experience working on automotive systems or complex electronic products (e.g., cockpit, ADAS, infotainment, connectivity, or similar)
• Experience contributing to product or system development within a vehicle program lifecycle (e.g., RFQ, development, validation, or launch)
• Strong system-level thinking and technical understanding
• Experience engaging with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
• Ability to operate in a global, cross-regional organization
Preferred Qualifications• Direct experience with cockpit-related systems: display, cluster, CID, HUD, HMI, domain controller, or related subsystems
• Experience in system architecture definition, solution integration, or technical product ownership
• Experience supporting early-stage concept development, proof-of-concept (POC), or customer-facing RFI/RFQ discussions
• Familiarity with SDV architectures and next-generation cockpit platforms
• Experience working across US, EU, and Asia in a global organization
