Moments In Time Disc Jockeys is one of the largest and most respected DJ services for weddings, school dances, and private parties in the State of Michigan. We have catered to over 4,500 events in West Michigan since the year 2011 and expect to continue that growth pattern. Along the way we've picked up The Best of The Knot and The Couples Choice Awards every year since 2010. We were also placed in The Knot Hall Of Fame back in 2015.

Job Description

The right candidate will have an interest in music with a focus on the long-term plan to become a contributing member of the company. We are looking for the right candidate with the right attitude. This candidate must be local with plans to stay local for longer than 3 years. If you plan to interview come dressed with your best.

Detailed Role Definition:

*Candidate must be available to work during weekends and evenings. Our busy season runs May through November. If weekends are not available please do not apply.

*Maintain regular verbal, text, email, and written contact with company operations representative.

*Be comfortable speaking in public in front of mostly complete strangers. Being a host and emcee of events is a large part of this job.

*Individual will plan to work when assigned for events that might occur 6-12 months in advance. Superb calendar management is a must. The ability to make long-term commitments will be imperative.

Skill Requirements:

*Must live locally in Grand Rapids, MI or in the West Michigan area

*Excellent driving record and have reliable and presentable transportation

*Comfortable using a microphone and able to speak in public and in front of large groups and has internal confidence.

*Extensive knowledge of all music genres

*Capable of working well in a fast-paced environment

*Able to lift heavy objects such as speakers, tenting, tables, etc.

*Timely and organized

*Performance and arts experience is not required but is preferred.
*Strong analysis and collaboration skills.
*Critical thinker, problem solver, troubleshooter, and creative skills is a must.
