Yard Worker

We are seeking diligent and skilled individuals to work in our yard, where you will be responsible for cleaning, repairing, and preparing mobile trailers for construction projects. Your tasks will include carpentry work, repairing any damage, performing light painting, installing plugs and switches without power, ensuring heating or AC systems are operational, and thoroughly cleaning windows, blinds, or doors to ensure the units are ready for use. Additionally, you will be responsible for loading trailers using a forklift.

• Clean, repair, and prepare mobile trailers for construction projects.
• Perform carpentry work, including repairing holes and light painting.
• Install plugs and switches without power.
• Ensure heating or AC systems are operational.
• Clean windows, blinds, and doors.
• Load trailers using a forklift.

• Experience in construction, including cleaning and carpentry.
• Proficiency with power tools and hand tools.
• Ability to install plugs and switches.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Forklift experience (sit-down forklifts or large skytrak).
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality finished products.

• Mig or Arc Welding experience (highly preferred).

This role offers the opportunity to be hired permanently with a reputable company. As part of a larger organization, there are numerous locations available should you need mobility.

This role involves working both indoors and outdoors, in a shop and yard setting. You will be exposed to various weather conditions, including cold, rain, snow, sun, heat, and wind. The working hours are from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with an average of 50-55 hours per week during the construction season.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, MI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
