Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize costs and ensure supply chain efficiency.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers, while managing strong relationships with existing vendors.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure favorable agreements and reduce costs.
• Oversee the procurement of raw materials, components, and MRO items essential for manufacturing operations.
• Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry changes to mitigate supply chain risks.
• Collaborate with production, inventory, and quality control teams to ensure timely material availability and adherence to specifications.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in purchasing processes and supplier management.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in purchasing or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in supplier negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship development.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and strong analytical skills for demand forecasting and inventory optimization.
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and quality management systems.

Bonus Qualifications

• Professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CPM, CPIM)
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies
• Demonstrated experience in international sourcing and managing global supply chains
• Proficiency with enterprise-level ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
