The starting pay range for this position per hour is $22.00 - $24.00. The full pay range for this position per hour is $22.00 - $37.40

ALL ABOUT ASSETS PROTECTION

Assets Protection ( AP ) teams function to keep our guests, team and brand secure and lead through crisis events. They protect profitable sales by mitigating shortage risks, preventing, theft and fraud to ensure product is available for our guest . They also b uild relationships inside and outside of Target including store leaders and public safety officials, inclusive of law enforcement.

At Target , we believe in our leaders having meaningful experiences that help them build and develop skills for a career. The role of an Assets Protection Team Leader can provide you with the skills and experience of :

  • L eading a security culture, including crisis response, a strong safety environment and crowd management planning, providing support to both guests and team members

  • Implementing daily/weekly Assets Protection workload priorities to support business priorities and deliver on goals

  • R espond ing to external and internal theft incidents and prevent ing future theft

  • I mplementing strategic resolutions of external theft and fraud and apprehen d ing individuals attempting to cause a loss, in accordance with Target policy and leadership’s guidance

  • P artnering , educating and supporting store business leaders on operational shortage priorities

  • L eading a team of hourly team members; including leveraging skills in interviewing , developing, evaluating and retaining talent

As an Assets Protection Team Leader, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day most likely will include the following responsibilities:

  • Support total store sales and increase profitability by ensuring pr oducts are in stock and available to our guests . We lcome and engage guests at the front of the store and on the salesfloor .

  • I nfluence and validate physical security and safety processes ; participate in store response and emergency crisis situations ; c reate security plans for in-store events .

  • Support your leader in e ducat ing teams on emerge ncy preparedness and physical security procedures .

  • Develop, coach and lead your team members to elevate the ir s kills and expertise , per direction from your leader .

  • Anticipate staffing needs and support your l eader to effectively talent plan around a culture of accountability through clear expectations and performance management .

  • Identify theft and shortage trends in your store .

  • Identify shortage risks in key a reas and support your l eader and leaders across the store to develop tactics that will reduce shor tage and drive profitable sales .

  • Work a schedule that aligns to guest and business needs based on security and theft patterns (this includes early morning/overnight shifts, evening and weekends) .

  • Develop team schedule s and adjust based on security and theft trends with leader validation .

  • Own the pre vention ( inclusive of merchandise protection budgeting) , identification and resolution of external theft incidents . Resolve theft using good judgement and conducting apprehensions while adhering to policy and procedures.

  • I nitiate, investigate and resolve internal investigations as directed by AP leader in your market and/or your l eader .

  • Educate store leadership on merch andise pro tection best practice and audit execution in partnership with key partners .

  • Implement and follow up on any operational change s as directed by your l eader .

  • Support your l eader to e ducate ]]>
