Strategic Communications & Marketing Intern (Summer 2026)
Moncur is seeking a marketing/communications student with an interest in content development and marketing for our Summer 2026 Internship Program.
As a Strategic Communications and Marketing Intern at Moncur, you'll gain valuable experience in a creative agency environment, supporting our content team in developing compelling copy and marketing materials for B2B companies across various industries. This internship offers a unique opportunity to apply your skills in a professional setting while learning about strategic content marketing, branding, and digital communication.
Our internship program is designed to provide meaningful learning experiences. You'll shadow and work alongside our creative team, with the potential to contribute to real client projects. While we don't expect client-ready work immediately, you'll receive feedback from industry professionals that will help you develop your skills and build your portfolio.
Duration: Mid-June to Mid-August 2026 (approximately 10 weeks)
Hours: Up to 25 hours per week
Compensation: $18/hour
Location: Hybrid (Southfield, MI office and remote options available)
Responsibilities
- Shadow professional copywriters and marketers, attending internal project meetings and content reviews
- Assist in developing content for various client deliverables, ranging from social media posts, to website copy, to sales collateral, and more
- Draft copy for internal communications
- Help with content and competitive research, marketing analytics, strategy planning, and more
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and creative discussions
- Collaborate with other interns and team members across departments
- Take initiative to learn agency processes and tools
- Receive constructive feedback on your writing from experienced professionals
Learning Outcomes

Requirements
- Currently enrolled in (or recently completed) a writing, marketing, communications, or related program
- Strong writing skills with attention to grammar and style
- Basic understanding of marketing principles
- Samples of your writing that demonstrate communication skills (academic or personal projects accepted)
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow
- Ability to receive constructive feedback and apply it to improve your work
- Detail-oriented and organized
