Key Responsibilities

• Perform various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) on metal components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to determine project requirements.
• Inspect finished welds for quality, integrity, and adherence to specifications.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment, ensuring proper functionality and calibration.
• Prepare materials for welding by cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and parts according to design specifications.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in multiple welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols
• Demonstrated knowledge of welding safety protocols and proper use of PPE
• Physical dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to lift/maneuver heavy materials
• Relevant welding certification (e.g., AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX) or ability to pass a weld test

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced welding techniques (e.g., orbital, robotic, specific exotic alloys).
• Proficiency in fabrication tasks including cutting, fitting, and grinding.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures and precision measuring tools.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and weld symbols.
