Non-QM Mortgage Underwriter

Now Hiring for Non-QM Mortgage Underwriters (Credit Underwriters) for a large and growing mortgage company!! This is a direct hire opportunity with our client and is fully remote, equipment provided!! There is minimal training so MUST HAVE 3+ years of NON-QM LOANS underwriting experience to be qualified!!

MUST HAVES:

3+ years of underwriting experience with non-QM loans

Must have manual underwriting experience (automated underwriting is a disqualifier)

Job Description

The Credit Underwriter is to issue credit decisions based on the documented borrower profile within the guidelines of the program and client requirements. Underwriters are to meet the minimum daily production goals plus clearing conditions and perform within department audit standards.

Underwrite residential mortgage loans in accordance with Conventional guidelines.

Input of data and analysis of findings in Loan Prospector, Desktop Underwriter, Asset wise, other AUS engines, and OES.

Identify and assess overall risk and potential fraud exposure resulting from clients' underlying business practices.

Meet the minimum daily production goals and quality targets plus clearing conditions and perform within department audit standards.

Review of credit reports to determine credit patterns, current liabilities, outstanding judgments, and collections.

Review of residential mortgage appraisal forms and calculations of Loan to Value ratios.

Analyze income from salaried, commissioned, self-employed, investments, fixed income sources.

Analyze assets statements for all types of asset accounts.

Ability to work overtime and weekends if needed.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Schedule:

2 weeks of training, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm EST

After training, flexibility of a start time of 7am-9am EST

Pay:

$32-$40/hr (pay is determined based off experience level and interview skills)

The pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $83200.00/yr.
