Salary Range: $53,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Traverse City that are seeking skilled Industrial Electricians. Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems, wiring, and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical malfunctions in industrial machinery, production lines, and facility infrastructure.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components to ensure operational reliability and safety.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to facilitate repairs and installations.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, electrical codes (e.g., NFPA 70E), and company policies.
• Calibrate and test electrical components, instruments, and control systems using appropriate testing devices.
• Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and other automation control systems for diagnostics and minor programming adjustments.

Recommended Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in industrial electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
• Strong knowledge of PLC systems, motor controls, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
• Adherence to NFPA 70E, OSHA, and Lockout/Tagout safety procedures.

Bonus Qualifications

• PLC programming and development experience (beyond basic troubleshooting)
• Robotics troubleshooting and maintenance experience
• Experience with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) commissioning and advanced programming
• Instrumentation calibration and loop tuning experience
