Overview

De Jager Construction, Inc is a Commercial General Contractor, based in West Michigan and specializing in Retail construction across the United States. We are seeking a highly organized Project Manager Assistant to support our construction team. This role provides administrative and operational support on projects from start through completion and any warranty follow up. This position works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and clients and provides administrative support for multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers on a daily basis
• Process project documentation (purchase orders, change orders, work orders, invoices)
• Prepare job start-up packages and distribute plan revisions
• Coordinate weekly reports, photos, and project updates
• Review subcontractor invoices and assist with approvals
• Assist with project close-out, including punch lists and final documents
• Track permits and follow up with subcontractors
• Coordinate equipment rentals
• Review expense reports for field staff
• Assist with travel arrangements when needed
• Perform additional administrative and project support tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Construction industry administration experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong organization, multitasking, and communication skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit and work on a computer for extended periods
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and by phone
