Data Science Analyst I

Location: Primarily remote with occasional on-site meetings. Opportunity to work on-site if preferred.

In this foundational role, you'll be a key contributor in transforming raw data into actionable insights that elevate member experiences and empower smarter decisions across the organization.

You'll work end-to-end across the data lifecycle - from exploration to modeling to storytelling-combining business intelligence with applied data science. What You'll Do:

• Partner with cross-functional teams to uncover opportunities for data-driven improvements in member experience and operational efficiency.
• Build and deploy pragmatic models and advanced analytics that inform strategic decisions.
• Translate complex data into clear, compelling insights for stakeholders at all levels.
• Own projects from start to finish, including data wrangling, analysis, visualization, and presentation.
• Contribute to a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and impact.

What You Bring:

• At least one year of experience in data science, decision science, business intelligence or similar roles with clear business impact.
• Bachelor's degree in data science, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, Computer Science or related quantitative field required.
• A solid foundation in data analysis, ETL, data modeling and statistical analysis.
• Strong proficiency with tools like Python, R, SQL, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and awareness of basic MLOps practices.
• Ability to translate analytics into clear, actionable insights for leadership and cross-functional teams.
• A natural curiosity and drive to explore, learn, and solve problems.
• Excellent communication skills and a people-first mindset.
• Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Credit union, financial services or fintech experience is a plus.

Expected Starting Salary Range:

$64,100 - $75,500 annually based on experience beyond what is required of the role and geographic location.
