Position Title: Director of Finance & Administration

Location: USA

Reports to: Managing Director- Howell, USA (Dotted-line reporting to Group Finance and Controlling, Germany)

Position Summary:

The Director of Finance & Administration will serve as the key financial and administrative leader of our U.S. subsidiaries in Howell and Boston

This position supports the Managing Directors in all financial, accounting, and administrative matters and ensures compliance with both U.S. GAAP and group reporting requirements (German HGB).

The role combines hands-on financial management with strategic coordination between the U.S. operations and the German headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting, finance and controlling activities for the U.S. entities
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports in accordance with group reporting standards
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in close collaboration with Group Controlling in Germany
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
• Coordinate annual audits and tax filings with external service providers
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, financial regulations, and internal controls
• Support the General Managers in decision-making through financial analysis and reporting
• Manage administrative functions including HR, insurance, purchasing, IT, facility management
• Serve as primary point of contact for Group Finance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field (Master’s preferred)
• Minimum 5–8 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting or controlling, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Solid understanding of both U.S. GAAP and international/group reporting standards (German HGB)
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP experience a plus)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in an international environment
• Hands-on, pragmatic, and self-motivated working style
