Job Overview
The Bartender/Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to members and their guests in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner. This position plays a key role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable club experience by preparing and serving beverages, taking food orders, and ensuring high standards of hospitality are consistently maintained. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong customer service skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, member-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Member Service and Hospitality
Greet members and guests promptly in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide attentive, personalized service that reflects the Club's standards of excellence.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
Serve food and beverages efficiently and according to club service standards.
Monitor member satisfaction and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
Bartending Duties
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and club standards.
Verify member eligibility and age requirements in accordance with club policies and state laws.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking supplies and glassware.
Monitor alcohol consumption and serve responsibly.
Complete opening and closing bar procedures, including cleaning and restocking.
Operational Responsibilities
Set up and break down dining and bar areas for regular service and events.
Maintain cleanliness of tables, bar tops, service areas, and dining areas.
Process member charges accurately through the club's POS system.
Follow all cash handling and billing procedures.
Assist with special events, banquets, and club functions as needed.
Work cooperatively with kitchen and service staff to ensure efficient operations.
Compliance and Standards
Follow all club policies, service standards, and safety procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health department regulations.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when interacting with members and guests.
Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Qualifications
Prior bartending and/or serving experience preferred, especially in private club, restaurant, or hospitality settings
Strong customer service and hospitality skills
Knowledge of standard drink preparation and service techniques
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Professional appearance and demeanor
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
POS system experience preferred
Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol per state law
