This is your moment to leverage your clinical skills to stabilize and empower patients on their path to resilience, while becoming part of a culture that values your expertise and growth. Starting March 9, 2026, this multi-week assignment (duration determined at placement) offers a structured, immersive experience designed to challenge you, broaden your scope, and elevate your professional trajectory. You’ll step into a role where every assessment, intervention, and collaboration has a real, lasting impact on individuals facing complex mental health needs. In this environment, your leadership in care planning and de-escalation will help families find hope and communities regain balance. And beyond the clinical, you’ll discover the value of joining a team that sees you as a critical partner in delivering high-quality psychiatric care.

Discover Michigan’s beauty in parallel with your professional journey. From the shimmering shores of the Great Lakes to rolling dunes and lush inland forests, Michigan invites you to recharge in nature’s own hospital—quiet moments by a shoreline, sunlit trails, and vibrant cultural scenes in cities like Grand Rapids. In your downtime, you’ll have the chance to explore local galleries, craft breweries, diverse dining, and family-friendly attractions that make this state a welcoming home away from home. Grand Rapids itself blends a dynamic healthcare market with Midwestern warmth, offering easy access to outdoor adventures and a thriving urban vibe. It’s a place where your professional focus meets everyday inspiration, making your assignment not only meaningful but also richly rewarding outside the workplace.

Location Benefits: Grand Rapids provides a robust and collaborative medical community, with access to multidisciplinary teams, progressive behavioral health practices, and opportunities to engage with patients across the psychiatric spectrum. The city emphasizes work-life balance, continuing education, and professional development, all within a supportive network. For travel professionals, there’s additional appeal in the broader U.S. footprint of assignments—our programs place you in diverse settings, expanding your clinical repertoire, expanding your professional network, and accelerating growth through exposure to varied care models and patient populations. You’ll gain flexibility, structure, and a recognizable footprint in behavioral health nursing while enjoying competitive compensation and the security of solid scheduling.

Role Specifics and Benefits:
- Core responsibilities: As a Behavioral Health / Psychiatric RN, you will perform comprehensive mental health assessments, monitor patient status, and implement evidence-based treatment plans under physician direction. You’ll conduct risk and crisis assessments, provide de-escalation and stabilization interventions, administer medications per protocols, and collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and case managers to optimize patient outcomes. Documentation will be meticulous, ensuring continuity of care, safety planning, and timely discharge planning. You’ll contribute to family education, prepare patients for community integration, and advocate for individualized, culturally competent care.
- Professional growth: This role offers ongoing opportunities to deepen expertise in acute psychiatric care, trauma-informed practices, and crisis intervention. You’ll work alongside seasoned clinicians, participate in continuing education, and assume increasing responsibilities with a trajectory toward leadership, mentorship, and program improvements within the behavioral health umbrella.
- Benefits and incentives: Enjoy competitive weekly pay ranging from $1,910 to $1,991, with guaranteed 40 hours per week to provide financial predictability. Additional advantages include a sign-on orcompletion incentive when applicable, housing assistance to ease transition, and potential extension opportunities to continue expanding your experience with the program. A dedicated, 24/7 support team will be available to travelers, ensuring you have immediate access to assistance, resources, and guidance whenever you need it.
- Comprehensive support: You’ll experience a full-service support system designed for travel clinicians, including onboarding assistance, credentialing help, housing coordination, and ongoing professional resources. The traveling team is committed to removing barriers so you can focus on delivering exceptional care and building meaningful patient relationships, day after day.

Company Values: Our organization is built on a foundation of empowering staff, promoting clear pathways for career advancement, and cultivating a supportive, inclusive work environment. We believe in recognizing your expertise, investing in your professional development, and creating a culture where collaboration, safety, and patient-centered care drive every decision.
