Job Title: Robotic Weld Technician

Location: Ionia, MI

3rd Shift: 10pm-6:30am

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Robotic Weld Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting robotic welding equipment to ensure efficient production and high-quality welds. The ideal candidate will have experience with robotic welding systems, welding processes, and troubleshooting automated equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor robotic welding cells to ensure consistent weld quality and production efficiency
• Set up and adjust robotic welding programs and parameters as needed
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on robotic weld equipment
• Inspect welded parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
• Load and unload parts into welding fixtures and ensure proper alignment for welding operations
• Identify and resolve welding defects such as porosity, incomplete welds, or misalignment
• Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve welding processes and efficiency
• Maintain accurate documentation of welding procedures, machine settings, and production data
• Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to robotic welding and automation

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with robotic welding systems preferred
• Experience with MIG welding and welding processes in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with robotic systems such as Fanuc, ABB, or Yaskawa is a plus
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• High school diploma or GED required; technical training in robotics or welding is a plus
