Looking for a hands-on IT role where you can jump in and make an immediate impact? We’re looking for an IT pro to provide hands-on tech support during a short-term project

APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Pontiac, MI looking to add a temporary IT Help Desk to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be to provide fast, reliable tech support to keep computers, software, phones, and meeting tools running smoothly. Keep reading for more details!

What’s in it for you:

• 1st shift opportunity – Monday to Friday from 8am-4:30pm
• Competitive hourly rate at $32/hr. depending on experience
• Temporary contract position

What your day will look like:

• Provide desktop, laptop, printer, scanner, and phone system support
• Respond to help desk tickets, calls, and in-person requests
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
• Install, configure, and update software and devices
• Manage user accounts, passwords, and permissions
• Support remote staff and conference room technology
• Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding setups
• Perform system updates, patches, and security checks
• Document issues, resolutions, and best practices
• Escalate complex problems to senior staff or vendors
• Monitor system performance and report issues
• Maintain IT equipment inventory and software licenses
• Provide end-user training and basic technical guidance

What we are looking for:

• Associate’s degree in IT or equivalent professional experience
• 1+ year of relevant experience, preferably within government or the public sector
• Ability to support live streaming services
• Experience with Michigan-based municipal software vendors
• Knowledge of local government operations
• Flexibility to work evening meetings and public events as needed
