Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shop floor operations, ensuring efficient production flow and adherence to schedules.
• Manage and mentor a team of production staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and scheduling.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.
• Monitor production output, quality control, and waste reduction initiatives to meet manufacturing targets.
• Manage inventory of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing downtime.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, maintenance, and logistics, to resolve production issues.
• Maintain equipment and machinery, coordinating repairs and preventative maintenance to ensure operational readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and product quality.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in manufacturing operations and shop floor management.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Proficiency in production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Familiarity with quality control systems and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
