• Take and interpret radiographs, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed in compliance with infection control standards.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, dietary habits, and preventive care strategies to promote lifelong dental health.
• Review medical records and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information.
• Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control protocols diligently to prevent cross-contamination within the clinical environment.
• Utilize dental office software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for charting, scheduling, billing, and record keeping to streamline operations.
• Support general dentistry procedures by preparing instruments, assisting chairside during treatments, and managing patient comfort throughout visits.
• Ensure all documentation review processes are completed accurately for medical coding and billing purposes in accordance with healthcare standards.

Skills

• Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology to accurately communicate with patients and team members.
• Experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix for efficient documentation management.
• Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures essential for safe clinical operations.
• Ability to perform patient care tasks including vital signs measurement, patient assessment, and chairside assisting with confidence.
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles to effectively serve pediatric patients with patience and care.
• Familiarity with pediatric dentistry best practices to support young patients’ comfort and cooperation during treatments.
• Excellent communication skills to educate patients clearly about their oral health status and treatment options.
• Ability to review documentation thoroughly for accuracy in medical records review and medical coding processes.
