Salary Range: $71,000 - $110,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for manufacturing.
• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Apply DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles to optimize designs.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes based on performance, cost, and availability.
• Conduct design calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate product performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support the prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs and product improvements.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA) and PDM systems.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
• Demonstrated knowledge of material science and selection for industrial applications.
• Expertise in applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, CFD) for design validation.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, or shop floor operations.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Demonstrated experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) for specific processes (e.g., injection molding, casting, sheet metal).
