Key Responsibilities

• Perform machine setup and changeovers for production runs according to specifications.
• Install, adjust, and calibrate tooling, fixtures, and machine components.
• Fine-tune machine parameters to achieve optimal performance and product quality.
• Conduct first-piece inspections and make necessary adjustments to meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor setup-related issues or machine malfunctions.
• Document setup procedures, parameters, and maintenance activities accurately.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards during setup operations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing setup or machine operator role.
• Proficiency in setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting various manufacturing equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, including understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving equipment malfunctions.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLC programming or industrial automation systems.
• Familiarity with CAD software for interpreting technical drawings or designing simple fixtures.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., SMED, Kaizen) for process optimization.
• Certifications in advanced metrology or quality inspection techniques (e.g., CMM operation).
