We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead accounting operations for a growing business. This role will oversee financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and help build efficient processes that support accurate and timely results. The position also provides leadership to the accounting team while partnering across the business to improve visibility into financial performance and risk.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities to deliver accurate financial results in accordance with corporate policy and U.S. accounting standards.

• Improve close and reporting workflows to increase efficiency, strengthen accuracy, and consistently meet established deadlines.

• Review key balance sheet accounts, including inventory-related exposures, and collaborate with operational partners to address financial risks and control gaps.

• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls that support a compliant and well-documented control environment.

• Coordinate external audit support and oversee tax-related accounting activities to ensure timely and accurate completion of required deliverables.

• Prepare and organize financial data requested by corporate accounting for external reporting disclosures and other compliance needs.

• Supervise, coach, and develop accounting staff while promoting accountability, attention to detail, and continuous process improvement.

• Enhance accounts receivable and accounts payable operations through standardization, automation, and effective use of internal or outsourced resources.

• Contribute to special projects and finance initiatives as needed to support business and corporate objectives.

• 10+ years of progressive experience in controllership, finance leadership, or a closely related accounting role.

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing and mentoring accounting teams, including within multi-site or matrixed organizations.

• Background in manufacturing environments with hands-on experience in cost accounting and financial reporting.

• Proven ability to improve processes, strengthen controls, and solve operational accounting challenges in a practical way.

• Experience with month-end close and the delivery of accurate, timely financial statements.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and cross-functional communication skills.

• Willingness to take a hands-on approach while leading both day-to-day accounting activities and broader improvement efforts.
