Parts Associate Martin Transportation Systems an award-winning automotive freight carrier for North American automotive manufacturers is seeking a highly qualifiedParts Associatein our Vehicle Maintenance Department. The individual selected will be multi-task orientedand looking for a supportive work environment. This person would be under general supervision, responsible for assisting technicians with determining the correct part number(s), locating parts, receiving parts into inventory, proper documentation of all transactions, returning incorrect/defective parts to vendors, inventory control and maintenance. MTS offers ahighly competitive salary andbenefits package. Experience a plus but not required. Would be willing to train for the right candidate. Shift: 6:00 am - 3:00 pm Location: Byron Center, Mi Duties Responsibilities Provide technicians with the correct part(s) for their vehicle. Locate and receive shipment of parts. Receive parts into inventory. Maintain the parts inventory for neatness, accuracy, and correct stocking levels. Return incorrect and/or defective parts to parts vendor or manufacturer. Complete duties as assigned by Parts Manager. Job Specifications: Position requires the following pre-requisites and ability: Demonstrate intermediate computer skills, including spreadsheet knowledge. Work with other associates and vendors Perform multiple duties in a high-energy, fast-paced working environment. Able to lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs. Speak and listen effectively in dealing with customers/associates, both in person and over the phone Working Conditions: Primarily the indoor work environment; may include working at times in noisy and/or inclement weather conditions. Requires walking or standing for extended periods of time.
