The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Grand Rapids seeking Project Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed project plans for manufacturing initiatives (e.g., new product introductions, process improvements, facility upgrades).
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including production, engineering, quality, and supply chain personnel.
• Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Manage project budgets, resource allocation (materials, equipment, labor), and procurement activities.
• Ensure all project deliverables adhere to quality standards, safety regulations, and manufacturing specifications.
• Facilitate clear communication and reporting to all stakeholders on project status, milestones, and issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• PMP or equivalent certification, or extensive experience with formal project management methodologies
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and supply chain logistics
• Proven experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for project tracking and resource management
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects involving new product introduction (NPI), process improvement, or capital equipment installation
• Strong track record of managing cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment, including engineering, production, and quality

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
• Familiarity with manufacturing quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
• Proficiency in CAD or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
