Salary Range: $58,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Muskegon that are seeking HR Generalists. Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for production and skilled trades roles.
• Provide guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws, including OSHA regulations.
• Administer HR policies and procedures relevant to the manufacturing environment.
• Support performance management processes, including reviews and goal setting for plant personnel.
• Coordinate and deliver training programs focused on safety, compliance, and skill development.
• Manage HRIS data integrity, including timekeeping, attendance, and employee records.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in HR generalist functions within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state labor laws (e.g., OSHA, FMLA, FLSA, EEO) applicable to manufacturing operations.
• Demonstrated ability in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
• Experience recruiting for skilled trades, production, and administrative roles common in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with workplace safety protocols and a commitment to fostering a safe work environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency (Spanish highly preferred).
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience supporting a multi-shift manufacturing operation.
• Proficiency with HRIS and timekeeping systems commonly used in manufacturing (e.g., Kronos, UKG Dimensions).
