Sales Trainee

The Sales Trainee position is designed for motivated, energetic individuals eager to launch a long-term sales career in the heavy equipment industry. No prior sales experience in heavy equipment is required—comprehensive training is provided. As a Sales Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience, develop product knowledge, and work closely with experienced sales professionals to learn the business from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their equipment and business needs
• Learn about construction and agricultural equipment applications and brands such as Bobcat, Kubota, DEVELON, and Fecon
• Support the sales team with equipment deliveries and machine preparation
• Assist walk-in and phone customers with inquiries and solutions
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors, landscapers, farmers, and business owners
• Promote and support Parts, Service, and Rental departments
• Learn quoting, financing, and equipment sales processes
• Progress toward an outside sales role through ongoing development and training

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills in person, over the phone, and digitally
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Team-oriented mindset
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Mechanical aptitude or interest in equipment is a plus
• Self-motivated and dependable
• Valid Driver’s License required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Customer service or sales experience preferred
• Experience with power equipment, construction, automotive, farming, or mechanical work is a plus
