Toledo Clinic's Dermatology Department is seeking a part-time LPN to work in their South Lyon, Michigan office.

This position will work Thursdays (8-4) and Fridays (8-2).

Qualified candidates will be required to have licensure in both Michigan and Ohio.

Travel to other office locations in OH is required on an as needed basis.

6 weeks of training will be required at our Adrian, Michigan office location. Training will be M/T/W (8-4) in Adrian office and Th/Fri in South Lyon office. After 6 weeks, once training is complete, the hours are Th/F in South Lyon office.

General Summary:

Assist provider(s) with patient treatment, prepares patient for provider(s), and performs various clerical duties. The position is best suited for an energetic and highly motivated employee that is capable of multi-tasking. This position requires travel between offices in OH and MI as needed. This position requires 6-8 weeks of training in the Woodville, OH or Lambertville, MI location.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Example of Essential Duties:

1. Assist provider(s) with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).
2. Escorting patients to exam room.
3. Preparing exam rooms.
4. Preparing patient for providers (i.e.: histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).
5. Sterilizing and preparing instruments.

Other Essential Duties May Include (but are not limited to):

1. Administering injections.
2. At the request of the provider, calling in prescription refills.
3. Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
4. Follow up with lab work and/or xrays.
5. Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).
6. Traveling between practice offices to cover staffing needs.
7. Other duties as assigned.

Education:

- Licensed Nursing Degree with Current State Licensure

- OH and MI Licensure

- First Assist Certification preferred
