Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Daycare Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our childcare facility in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children while managing staff and maintaining compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support daycare staff to ensure high-quality care and educational activities.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate programs and curricula that promote children's development.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and families.
• Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and health and safety standards.
• Manage enrollment, attendance records, and daily operations of the daycare center.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child’s progress and any concerns.
• Conduct staff training, performance evaluations, and provide ongoing support and guidance.
• Handle administrative tasks including budgeting, scheduling, and supply management.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies or incidents.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in childcare or early childhood education, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
• Familiarity with state licensing requirements for daycare centers in Michigan.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, children, and families.
• High school diploma required
