Job Description
Job Description
At Ford Component Sales, LLC (FCS), we don’t just sell parts – we provide the "heartbeat" for industries worldwide. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company, we are a gateway to access the world-class engineering, powertrain solutions, and cutting-edge technology that have made Ford an icon for over a century.
Why Your Work Matters When you join FCS, your reach extends far beyond the driveway. Our components power everything from high-performance marine vessels and rugged industrial machinery to advanced defense vehicles and the next generation of transportation. You’ll be helping diverse industries across the globe reduce development costs and get to market faster using genuine Ford DNA.
We operate with the entrepreneurial spirit of a specialized team, backed by the massive resources and innovation of Ford Motor Company. Since 1947, we’ve been "One Team" dedicated to excellence. Here, you’ll find:
- Innovation at Scale: From engines and transmissions to the future of multimedia with SYNC™ technology.
- Global Impact: Work with partners in the industrial, marine, agricultural, and defense sectors.
- A Legacy of Excellence: Join a culture built on a century of Ford innovation and a commitment to world-class service.
Are you ready to help power the world? At FCS, we’re seeking a meticulous and proactive Release Analyst to be the operational backbone of our supply chain. In this role, you will ensure the integrity and flow of inbound and outbound communications, serving as the technical expert for EDI releases and CMMS3 maintenance. If you’re ready to ensure our world-class components reach our partners with precision and speed, we want to hear from you!
Essential Functions
- Analyze and oversee inbound and outbound 830/862 customer and supplier releases to ensure 100% accuracy and timeliness.
- Set up and maintain CMMS3 screens for new parts, level changes, and new plant launches, while processing critical mailbox messages and resolving system errors.
- Lead the EDI setup process and act as the primary point of contact for researching and resolving complex release discrepancies.
- Work monthly Cumulative Reconciliation Reports and lead the critical Ford Year-End CUM Rollback process to ensure system and financial alignment.
- Partner with Follow-up Analysts, Program Managers, and Customers to communicate packaging needs, level changes, and container maintenance requirements.
- Perform month-end cycle counts, process shipper corrections, and generate weekly Open Order, Backorder, and Part Maintenance reports.
- Compose weekly updates for the MP&L team regarding engine and transmission requirements to ensure customer needs are met.
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the release and maintenance modules.
Qualifications We’re looking for a motivated professional who can excel in this dynamic, data-driven role. To be successful, you will typically possess:
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university (preferred).
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Material Planning and Logistics.
- Deep functional knowledge of Common Materials Management System ver. 3 (CMMS3), specifically within the records and release modules.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex EDI and system issues independently.
We Offer: An attractive and competitive compensation and benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, paid holidays, 401(k) with company contribution, disability insurance, and tuition reimbursement assistance.
Why Join Us: If you take pride in your work and are committed to personal and professional success, we’d love to talk with you. Please visit fordcomponentsalesllc.com to learn more.
