Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to support our operations and finance teams. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating the delivery of materials needed, along with managing shop stock inventory levels. The successful candidate will work closely with the operations and finance teams and vendors to ensure that materials are procured in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet project requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Support the purchasing and delivery of materials for projects and company operations
• Monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and follow up with suppliers on outstanding orders
• Communicate any problems, delays, etc., that could affect operational timelines or efficiency
• Monitor inventory levels, support warehouse organization, and facilitate proper storage of materials
• Manage shop stock such as inventory, tools, and parts to support operations, equipment maintenance and repairs, and shop specific needs
• Oversee shipping and receiving
• Monitor costs and help identify opportunities for savings, alternative products or vendors, and process improvements
• Identify alternative vendors or products as necessary
• Collaborate with all departments to ensure proper inventory is properly sourced and stocked
• Document and maintain processes

Requirements:

• Experience with construction, general trade tools, and electrical components is a plus
• Understanding of inventory management principles
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and procurement software
• Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of procurement processes
• Ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
• Excellent organization, communication, and follow-through skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust to evolving needs
