A leading infrastructure services firm is seeking a skilled Field Dewatering Technician to support the rehabilitation and repair of sewer and stormwater lines across active construction sites in the Dearborn, MI area. In this hands-on role, you will operate heavy equipment, move materials, and work alongside a close-knit field crew to execute dewatering applications that are critical to keeping community infrastructure projects on schedule and running safely. Day to day, you can expect a physically active, outdoor environment where no two days look exactly alike — from job site setup at first light to equipment operation and cleanup at the end of a productive shift. Key Responsibilities:

• Execute job site setup and teardown activities, ensuring work areas are organized, safe, and compliant with site protocols before and after each shift.

• Operate heavy equipment, including skid steers and other machinery, to move materials and support active dewatering operations.

• Perform manual material handling tasks, including lifting and transporting heavy equipment and supplies across varied terrain and weather conditions.

• Support the rehabilitation and repair of sewer and stormwater lines by carrying out dewatering applications under the direction of field supervisors.

• Conduct work in confined spaces in accordance with safety standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to entry procedures.

• Collaborate closely with the field crew to maintain workflow, troubleshoot on-site challenges, and deliver project milestones on time.

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a field technician in a construction, utility, or infrastructure environment is required — candidates should be able to speak to specific site responsibilities from past roles.

• Demonstrated hands-on construction experience, including work on active job sites involving excavation, utility repair, or civil infrastructure projects.

• Proven equipment operation skills, with direct experience running skid steers or comparable heavy machinery in a professional setting.

• Ability to perform sustained physical labor outdoors, including lifting heavy materials and working in variable weather conditions throughout a full shift.

• Comfort and experience working in confined spaces, with knowledge of or willingness to complete required safety certifications for confined space entry.

• Strong teamwork orientation and the ability to follow direction, communicate clearly on site, and adapt quickly to changing field conditions.
