Salary Range: $49,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate Wire and Sinker EDM machines according to specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Monitor machine operations, adjust parameters, and troubleshoot minor issues to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Perform in-process and final quality inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Conduct routine maintenance on EDM equipment, including electrode and wire changes, and fluid management.
• Document production activities, quality control data, and machine performance logs.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workstation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating Wire and/or Sinker EDM machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficiency in setting up EDM machines, including tooling, workholding, and loading/editing machine programs.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators to ensure part quality.
• Strong understanding of EDM principles, parameters, and electrode design/selection.
• Basic troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve common machine or process issues.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience operating other precision CNC machining equipment (e.g., 5-axis milling, Wire EDM).
• Proficiency in CMM operation or advanced metrology and inspection techniques.
• Basic understanding of CAD/CAM software for model viewing and program interpretation.
• Demonstrated ability to perform minor machine maintenance and advanced troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
