Job Description

Join a dynamic, family-owned business specializing in the production of fixtures and CNC Chucks for CNC Machining. As a job shop, machinists perform 1-4 set-ups daily, working with a diverse range of 3 + 2 axis machinery. The role involves both mill and lathe operations, with opportunities to learn and grow in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, program sheets, and work instructions.
• Perform a variety of turning, milling, drilling, boring, and related operations to achieve precise tolerances.
• Conduct set-ups and changeovers efficiently.
• Perform inspection and gaging operations to ensure quality standards are met.
• Measure workpieces for conformance and make necessary adjustments.
• Clean machines, tooling, and parts regularly.
• Operate multiple machines when required.
• Collaborate effectively in a team environment.

• 3+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist, focusing on set-ups and tool changes on mills and lathes.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting work instructions.
• Ability to make G&M Code Edits using Fanuc or Siemens controllers.

• Experience holding tight tolerances.
• Capability to set up, perform tool changes, offsets, and run 1-2 machines.
• Familiarity with Mastercam edits.
• Experience with multiple axis operations.
• Vericut Programming experience.
• G&M code programming skills.

The work environment is a small manufacturing setting, producing components for machining companies. Machinists are part of a tight-knit team, often running 1-2 machines per day, with the possibility of assisting in other departments. The facility is clean and climate-controlled, ensuring a comfortable workplace.

This is a Permanent position based out of Roseville, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $62400.00/yr.
